Do Something

It’s not too late to do something this summer by going on a team.

1 Tim. 4:12 Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

Teams aren’t easy, they can bring many challenges, but they also bring many results:

  • Experience. Experience ministry in your own area
  • Develop. Develop a heart to help meet the deep spiritual needs of the lost
  • Learn. Learn to communicate your faith to others
  • Grow. Grow your personal leadership skills as you serve on a team and follow your leaders.
  • Discover. Discover how to have a greater ministry at your school, workplace, university or church

If you can’t go on a team please by praying for the teams. These are two programmes that are great:

BYE is short for Baptist Youth Evangelism. When you get involved in a BYE team, God will work on your relationship with Him, teaching you new things, challenging you about your values, and giving you a glimpse of His great purpose for the world. You will be motivated to pray and you will be stretched and develop abilities you never imagined you could have.

You will work with and learn from team leaders who themselves experience a mixture of the privilege, responsibility and excitement of serving God in His work.

Are you ready to have your faith tested and strengthened on the streets of the towns and cities of Ireland?

Check out the teams to see where we are heading this summer.

How to Apply

To be a part of summer activities 2010; pick a team, download the application form, fill it in and send to the office with your deposit.

Click here to see a copy of the summer activities brochure.

As the application process includes a preemployment disclosure check the deadline for applications will be strictly 6 weeks before the team. The demand for teams is usually quite high so get your form in early to avoid disappointment as your preferred choice might be full.

Christian Youth in Action® Summer Missions will help you grow in your personal faith in Christ as you trust Him with new experiences and for boldness. CYIA will also give you opportunities to personally communicate the gospel to children through 5-Day Club ministry.

These free Bible Clubs are organised by Child Evangelism Fellowship. Local boys and girls aged 5-12 are invited to attend the 5-Day Clubs (regardless of religious background)

Each club lasts for 5 consecutive days. Children who attend the club participate in stimulating Bible Lessons, upbeat songs, scripture memory, quizzes and games. Specific child protection steps are taken and training given to ensure the safety of every child and the trustworthiness of the youth and adult leaders.

This is a wonderful way to break up the summer for children, giving them a safe protective environment to learn and flourish. And, in the middle of all the fun, these children will hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be given opportunity to trust Jesus as their personal Saviour.
